Default turn signal

Is there any way to increase the speed at which my turn signals blink? Kind of a strange question, I know. But, nonetheless, is there any way to do it?

It's actually called a flasher (as opposed to blinker relay). There are several models made by a number of different manufacturers and they all flash at different rates. They come in mechanical (thermal) and electronic versions but, unfortunately, there is no way to tell how fast a particular model will flash without trying it. The electronic models have the advantage of being consistent - they will flash at the same speed regardless of how many bulbs are attached (this is particularly helpful when installing LED replacements). The mechanical ones have the advantage of letting you know when a bulb burns out (they stop flashing on the side with the burned out bulb). They also flash faster when more (or brighter) bulbs are attached - you've probably seen people with trailers attached and turn signals flashing really fast because of the additional bulbs on the trailer.

If you just want to increase the speed a little, you can just upgrade your bulbs. For example, replacing the front 3157 bulbs with 3457 bulbs will increase current draw and make the factory (thermal) flasher go a little faster. Also, you can take apart the factory flasher and bend the contacts to change the timing a little.

If that's not enough of an increase then you'll just have to try some different flashers until you find one you like. Fortunately, they are inexpensive (under $5 for mechanical, about $10 for electronic) and easy to replace. I tried five different flashers before I finally found one that slowed down the flashing enough for my sequential turn signals.
