I honestly have no idea what these door lights are... Do you mean map lights? or the dome light? My t/a doesn't have anything else, besides this really dim red bulb, maybe 2mm wide, in the door just above the controls... it doesn't light anything up, and I figured it was some sort of indicator... my passenger side door doesn't even have it... is that what you guys are referring to?

i've got the same problem, i'm going to take that part off and test it off of my car with the led hooked up to a power supply. Mine is super bright too but not projecting-it has to be something with the bezel.

That doesn't seem to be the problem. The led is bright as hell before you screw it into the bezel, just as the driver one. Once in the bezel the light isn't projecting. I noticed that the blue light was escaping where the coller the led is screwed into attaches to the back of the bezel. This could account for some of the light loss. i won't have a chance to look more into it until friday.

It is a GM design flaw. I took it apart last night to look at it in more detail. The bulb shines directly into the back center of the bezel and then the light has to radiate to the top. The bulb connector is epoxied to the back of the bezel. I'm hoping this weekend i'll take off the bulb connector, see how GM decided to "route the light" and see if there is another way so we can use the plug and play bulbs. The easiest solution would be to use an led and resistor, cut the portion out of the back rear of the bezel and mount it there. Whatever way i go i'll take pics.

i didn't forget - I tried one method and got the light to be half as good as the drivers side. Not good enough for me so i'm trying another way.
