Bright lights?
Next, does the highbeam indicator light on the dash still work? If so, you can eliminate the switch as the problem.
If not, you can test the switch at the big 48-pin connector under the dash near the brake pedal. It is an inline connector with a single 48-pin plug on one side and three plugs on the other (two single row plugs on the outside edges and a larger 3 row/18pin plug in the middle). Check for power at the yellow wire in the larger middle plug whenever the headlight switch is on. There are two yellow wires in the plug - you want the one that is not right next to the center locking screw. Next, test the light green wire in the same plug - it should have power when you switch on the highbeams and not when you switch them off (it's the only light green wire in the connector). If you get these results then the switch is okay otherwise you'll need to replace it.
If the switch is okay then you have a problem with the wiring between the steering column and the lights. There is no relay involved so just trace the light green wires looking for a break.
