Part # for C1 and C3 Plugs
However, when I had my aftermarket cd player installed they never gave me back my plug-in pieces for the stock one, commonly reffered as C1 and C3. Does anyone have the part numbers that go into the back of the stock cd player that connect to the wires.
I can't find anyone selling any on here so im gonna try gmpartsdirect.com but I cant figure what they are called or the p# is.

Connector, Radio, 10-pin black (C1): 12085486
Connector, Radio, 10-pin white (C3): 12125670
Connector, Radio, 9-pin black (C2 - external CD changer): 12102629
These connectors are also available in the aftermarket as kits - check Crutchfield and similar locations.
Yah I found it, its there.
They connected another harness to it, thats why. I've got a few questions now.
1. Why do both headunits make a "POP" sound when being turned on? Is there a way to fix this?
2. When I put in the factory deck it doesn't have the radio. Im thinking it is to do with a 90 degrees probe like object that is suppose to connect into the headunit. However, the current one is to big, do you think ill have to change that. I was trying to make it fit on the drivers side section hole, on the back of the h-unit. However it seemed to big.
3. I am installing a LOC. There is a Left Channel and Right Channel, with a total of 4 wires (2 pos+ and 2 neg-). Do I have to route those to the harness at the back of the headunit or just to any speaker, both on different sides of the vehicle?
Thanks for your help guys!
Espically WhiteBird00.
2. That's the AM/FM antenna connector (it's called a Motorola plug). For some reason GM uses an antenna plug that's smaller than the standard. When the aftermarket head unit was installed they would have either replaced the antenna and cable with a standard one (unlikely) or installed an adapter cable (probably). The adapter cable is about six inches long and converts the GM small connector to a standard size plug that works with your aftermarket HU. Follow the antenna cable back about six inches and you should be able to disconnect the adapter - then the original smaller plug will fit in the factory HU.
3. You could connect a LOC at the speakers but it isn't usually done that way only because it's more convenient at either the head unit or the Monsoon amp. Both left and right channel speaker wires are close together there so it's just easier. The Monsoon amp (if you're using it) is mounted on a bracket under the right hatch trim in front of the spare tire. The input to the amp is speaker-level so if you want to put your LOC near the back of the car you can connect to the amp's input wires there. The amp pinout diagram is in the Monsoon Frequently Asked Questions thread at the top of the forum.
