Fogs lighting help please!!!
i have a set of really nice ultrabright foglights. they look like hids but they're not. They have a halo ring built into them. I want to hook these up to my factory harness but i dont want to hook up the halos. I dont think halos in fogs look good unless you have halos in your headlights, and since this is a 99 trans am, i obviously dont. So there are a few wires hanging off the fog. A white braided wire. Im guessing this is insulation of some kind. A black wire just like the white one meaning its also braided. And then there are two red exposed wires that go to one single female connector. im guessing this is for the leds in the halo since there are two. So when i take my factory fogs off, can i just connect the factory power source into the white wire and the factory ground into the black wire? can it be that simple? Please help me out guys. Also, how do i install them? snce i have to install brackets and everything do i take off the front bumper? if so, how do i get the front bumper off?

If the fog lights you bought also use 55Watt H3 bulbs, then you can do the same thing. If they are higher wattage, you have to use a relay or risk burning up the stock wiring.

oh man im getting into a mess i dont want to get into, i absolutely hate wiring. How do i know what wattage etc they use without the box manual or stock harness? theyve been sitting around so long that i cant find any of that stuff. is there any way? if i take it into autozone or something can they test the resistance? i guess im going to start looking for that box or manual....
