Do I need a new HU? Well, I've been having problems with my radio for a long time,but I got to the point where I am tired of it. Everytime when i go over a speed bump, the cd player skips, and sometimes it just skips liki a ****. I know that the cds are fine cause I checked in other cd players. The questions are: Do a I need a new HU? Can i just clean the HU to see if it helps? If so, how can I clean it?? Thanks guys.

I would suggest getting a new hu, how long have you had the hu and how old is it? You can try to clean it, there are cleaning disk that places like walmart or best buy sell that you insert the disk in the cd player and it cleans the laser eye.
First of all....what model/kind is it?? Second how old is it?? You may be able to clean it but if it's that bad and your pulling your hair out over it...I'd say go buy another one. Most are relatively inexpensive and have some very nice options with mp3 playback and iPod inputs. Do a little homework and get a good name brand one though. Even the name brands have bargain ones if price is an issue.
