Leds for Camaro cluster - questions Hi,
I picked a led kit up last summer, and since then I've had 3 of the 6 leds go out on me. (You only need 5 but the kit includes 6). It was a sponsor, who for the time I am not mentioning. But they are very popular here.
I'm wondering if this is normal, or if anyone else has had a similar problem. My understanding is that the leds should last much longer than conventional bulbs.
I reallly liked the way they looked, so I am trying to figure out if it is a fluke or if others have had similar problems. I don't particularly enjoy pulling the cluster, though by now I am a master at it.

are you sure they arent loose in the sockets??? mine did that but they were loose they wouldnt light up them, made them tight and the negative and positive sides touched blowing a fuse. i made sure they didnt come loose by putting some clear sylicone sealant on one side to hold it in place and if i ever need to take them out it will peel out.
I'm 100% positive. I tried pulling the leds and cleaning up the contacts even. Originally I had them hot-glued into place, as well as when re-adjusted, I redid the glue again. I know the contacts at the led, and to the cluster, are good. And the polarity is ok. They just died, I dunno. It seemed like it should not happen, thus my reason for asking.
