New Headunit

Ok my dad has a 94 Z28 that had a factory headunit. But the CD player didnt work on it. I have a 97 SS that had a pioneer head unit. I replaced mine with an avic indash dvd. Mine works fine, but when i went to put my old one in my dads car i plugged it in and only the front right speaker played. I noticed that the wires look different from his 94 than my 97. All the speakers played fine with the old headunit. Does anyone know why it would be playing out of one speaker?

Was it a Bose system in the 94? They are wired quite a bit differently from standard head units.

weird it should play out of all as long as you wired the anetnna wire in the car harness to the remote turn on (but if you didnt none of them should play)
