front speaker removal

Is ther a way to do it without taking the whole door panel off?

No -- not a big deal taking it off though.... get used to it; you'll probably be in later for window motors anyway.

You would think chevy design it that way but f'n nooooo, have to take panels off no doubt.

it takes 5 minutes or less to pull off the panel and about the same to get it back on! its really no big deal at all.

I started by taking out all the screws, I just need to spend a little more time to pull it all the way off.Im trying to narrow down an audio problem Im having and I think it is due to the front speakers being blown.

Should just come right off with a slight upward motion...assuming you have all the screws out. Don't forget the mirror cover by the corner of the window. It can get in the way. Just one screw and it pops off. Once you do it one time you can have it off in 5min. of less next time. Very easy to do.
