Will these speakers fit????

I have a 1996 Trans Am with the monsoon system, I found these on ebay because I need a new pair. My dad emailed the guy and he said they wont work. I think they will work he just doesnt know what he is talking about. Didnt GM change the speakers in 97 because the 93-96 speakers kept blowing but these should still fit and work right. I dont know much about audio. Can you give me an exact suggestion on a set of speakers that is $100 or less. I listen to alot of hip hop and some rock if that matters for the type of speakers.
