Please help with DRL I cannot figure this out. I have a 99 Z28. When the daytime running lights are on, the left one doesn't work. The left blinker never works. When I turn on the left blinker, the indicator inside lights up, but doesn't blink, and the left rear blinker also lights up but doesn't blink. When the headlights are on, the turn signal bulb (DRL) lights up like it's supposed to, but the blinker still doesn't work. I have checked all bulbs, and have replaced the multi-function switch (or blinker switch) in the steering column. Any ideas on what this could be? Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Please help with DRL Check the daytime running lamps module. It's about the size of a cigarrette pack and it's located behind the radio. Pull the radio, and slide the DRL module up. There are two connectors on it C1 and C2. It's really nothing more than a few relays and logic circuits. Shouldn't be too costly. You can open it up and check for damaged circuits.

Re: Please help with DRL my 98 ta has a similar prob. when my key is on, or the parking lights are on, both of the running lights light up. when turn my headlights on, the driver side running light goes out. the turn signals both work caus i just changed the bulbs too....any ideas?
Re: Please help with DRL I had this problem when I bought my 98 TA. I went to put in new bulbs in the front turn signals and found that the sockets were in poor condition. I could wiggle the bulbs to turn it on or off. The light bulbs have two filiments, parking/DRL and turn signal. It's possible one contact was not touching the bulb correctly.
I had the dealer replace both sockets and haven't had a problem since.
The not blinking part is an indication that you have a bulb out. So first thing to do is replace bulbs. If that doesn't do it, try wiggling the bulb and see if it comes on. You could go as far as using a multimeter to see if the socket contacts have power.
