Ya neva kno it mite be the amp but thats frieken horrible considering i spend like 700 dollars 2 get a system put in that only seemed to last a month and a half. The guy at bb said the smoking was the coil from a speaker from blasting it i guess, what would you guys do?

I call bullshit on BB. Ibet they messed up somewhere. Either the factory amp is still attached or they seriously botched up the install. Take it back and have a manager look at it. If he doesnt wanna fix it, get store director involved.. If nothing there, ask for the corporate hotline,,, they will do something to stop you from going to corporate.

alright well it turns out the original BB i went to messed my whole thing up and had the amp gains up to high and also didnt connect the driver side speaker but the window could have loosened the wire i was told. All this along with a few more issues including 3 blown speakers. The other BB i went to had great service, they replaced everything for free and were very polite about it. They gave me a warantee on everything just in case for 4 years, so hopefully, no more issues. Keeping my fingers crossed.

good to hear they can at least resolve the problems they caused in your case -- nice job going after them -- I've read many threads where ppl just seem to back down and not take it up with them or push them into anything
