Display on stereo not working

Display on stereo not working The previous owner stated it worked fine tell the day i got it..then stopped.
So..assuming that is true..any idea what the problem might be?
It seems to work fine, radio, cds..etc..but no display.
(This is on a 98 trans am, not sure if its monsoon or not)
