Default Help: '98-02 Body Control Module (BCM) Differences?

I have a blown door relay in my 2002 Firebird BCM, and I was curious if there are any wiring differences between the 1998-2002 Camaro and Firebird BCM's w/keyless entry? In other words, do I need to purchase a 2002 model from another Firebird, or can any '98-02 Camaro or Firebird BCM work fine?

Thanks.

All 97 and 98-02 model f-body replacement BCMs are now the same part number, 9353691. However, the original BCMs came in two models - with the factory alarm or without. So it's possible you could lose your factory alarm if you put in a used BCM from an earlier Firebird or Camaro that didn't have that option.

The bigger problem is the VATS system. A new BCM is very easy to program to match the ignition key but it can only be done once. You will have to get a VATS bypass kit in order to install a used BCM (unless you get that 1-in-15 that just happens to match your existing key).
