Camaro HU in a T/A
Camaro HU in a T/A The monsoon HU in my 99 T/A is on the way out and i like the looks of the camaro HU much better. My goal is to keep it stock looking, hence another GM HU, but was wondering if the camaro head unit would workout.
1. Will the camaro HU support the 10spkr monsoon setup?
2. Doesn't the " " have speed compensated volume? Will it still work in my t/a?
3. Any mods needed to retain the steering wheel controls?
4. Lastly is there anyway to change the display to "fiery Pontiac red?"
I'm sure this has been covered before but search brought back all kinds of nonrelated threads, useless.

1. Yes - there is nothing special about the Monsoon head unit, any GM/Delco head unit will work.
2. Yes it does and no it won't work in the T/A because the T/A doesn't have the VCS wire in the radio harness.
3. No, they work exactly the same.
4. No. I suppose you could put red lenses over the illumination bulbs but you won't be able to change the vacuum fluorescent display color. Also, the face of the Camaro radio is black with black controls (the Firebird is dark gray with gray controls) so it won't match the dash.
