antenna how does the antena for the stock monsoon stereo come out i am adding a tv to my 02 firehawk and i need to disconnect the antenna. i reached behind the stereo but i could not pull the antenna out any suggestioms would be nice thanks and this is a awesome site

Re: antenna I have a 2001 Formula. On the back of the HU, opposite the wire bundle, there is a thick black wire. Its the antenna. It doesn't look like it'll come out, but I have mine a tug and out it came. Its a mini connector, you may need an adapter to convert it to the larger connector. If you plan on putting the equipment in the back of the car, you can tap into the antenna there as well. You can access the antenna behind the spare tire. The long wire that goes to the front of the car is separate from the main body of the antenna mechanism. The connectors on the antenna end of the wire are the more normal larger ones. (Like you'd normally see with after market stuff.)
