Default Factory alarm beeping ???

everytime i lock it the alarm goes off ten seconds later. what the hell...it beeps twice then stops...ten senconds goes bye and it does it agian i just unpluged the shock sensor in the back where the spare is and it stoped. with the shock sensor plugged up its beeps twice every 10 seconds... any one else having this issue

Alarm going off just after arming is usually the shock sensor - think you found the problem. You can also try turning the sensitivity down.

ill try that ... the shock sensor is built in our harness too isnt it

ya mine is doing the same thing also. I lock it then it beeps twice about 20sec later then stops

the sensor is above the back passenger wheel. You will have to remove the plastic panel. It is a little black box with a red led on it. It just unplugs from the harness.

Will the alarm still go off with that sensor unplugged?? Cause this thing is getting really annoying!!

You couldn't find a more recent thread on this subject?

The alarm will work normally without the shock sensor - except it won't respond to impacts of course.

Whats wrong with bringing back an old thread? If old threads are useless then why doesnt ls1tech staff delete them?

In this case, the same subject has been discussed dozens (perhaps hundreds) of times in the two years since this thread was started. Granted, not much has changed regarding the alarm system but lots has changed in other subjects (especially audio) so it's always best to use the most current information.
