I have a 2000 Camaro SS with a Monsoon casette player and i know someone that has a cd player out of a 1998 camaro. My question is will the steering mount controls work on that player out of the 1998 camaro if i install it in my car?

 

Yes but you will lose all capability to use an external CD changer or any of those adapters that let you connect an iPod or MP3 player.

 

So i wont be able to use my stock cd changer?

 

No, it won't work with the 98 CD head unit. CD changers worked with all years of cassette head units but only with 2000 and newer CD head units.
