Best Atlernator?
a few good companies....
excessive amperage, ohio alternator and 4alterstart.
4alterstart 275amp is what I have. Only one to offer a 2 year warranty and slightly cheaper than the others. Not to mention offers the most power at idle too. I've done allot of research. But what I have read from other people, any of the products will do.

Ohio alternator has been making high output alternators for at least a decade. They have proven themselves.
But there's no reason the other wont work if they are made right.

Just a question. If you change your alternator to a higher powered one, do you have to add a high powered battery as well. Iwas once told if you change the battery to a bigger and better one the stock alternator won't be able to recharge the battery and therefore causing the battery to die earlier than need be. Is there any truth in this?

No need to relocate or anything. There is a 200amp version. Not to mention they give you a spec sheet on each one.
