heres the short story back in april me and my girlfriend broke up it was ugly so i took it out on my radio
(stupid me) but it gave me an excuse to get a new one i just got a Alpine 9883 receiver and install kit and was wondering how can u or if u can hook it up to work with the monsoon amps so it will sound the same as it did. ive talked to stereo shops they said sometimes they can do it sometimes they cant which makes no sense to me. any tips? can it be done in my 02 SS?

Actually, I did that on my brother's car. My system consists of amped components in front, and 800W to a sub in back. While I DID plan on keeping sails in for help with midbass.....I noticed the driver's side sail amp channel had gone bad. I'm not too sure when the sail stopped working (after HU, etc..)
Not much to share tho on HU install -- some do lose bass, but it's nothing in their install...just however Monsoon chooses to react? Haven't found a link between when those lose their sail panel channels, blow sub, etc and when those don't. My brother's stock sails panel subs weren't blown when I removed them, and work off of another source -- but did not with his Monsoon amp..... however when I put the eu700s in, they did work (thankfully....because I didn't know the original sails weren't blown at the time).
