How do I remove my front door panel? (crank window) I've done it before on a 95 with power windows, but I can't get the crank for the window off so I can remove the door panel. How do I get the window crank off so I can get the panel off?
Usually with crank windows you either have a removable panel on the window crank or in your case there is a weird shaped pin that is essentially a C-clip that is between the crank and the door that slides in from the side. They can be a pain to remove. I think there is a tool for this or before I could afford the right tools I used a carving fork like you'd use at Thanksgiving dinner to slide up in there and pop the clip out the other side. You'll have to locate the open end of the clip first so you make sure you are pushing the right way. The clips look like this, I know this is a different year but if it uses clips it will look soemthing like this:

I agree!! I always buy the tool but I like to give people options..lol!! And it's that big 2 prong fork thing..lol...not the knife. This was about 15years ago for the record.
It does like to shoot off of there so watch it or have a friend around just in case!!
