What is the best CD Player to put in my SS?
What is the best CD Player to put in my SS? I just got my SS and found that it has a 500 watt Monsoon tape player. This is no use to me, I have no tapes. I want to put the stock 1 disk CD player in. If nobody knows where to get it or how much it costs, what is the best alternative? Thanks.
Re: What is the best CD Player to put in my SS? Ha 500 watts my *** more like 50 watts. Monsoon is a joke. Somebody is always selling a used stock CD player but your going to need a monsoon one specifically otherwise it wont power on your monsoon amps(trying not to laugh). Try some of the selling sections on different boards. Or just buy a aftermarket CD player for about $200 which will do more and sound better.
Re: What is the best CD Player to put in my SS? How much are the Stock monsoon cd players selling for? I have one sitting in my room. I replaced mine with an Alpine cd player. I like it better. I used the monsoon for about 3 months before installing the Alpine. Let me know if interested I think it'd be better off being used than sitting in my room. Laterz Justin

And there are some new and some factory reconditioned...and factory reconditioned doesn't always mean something was wrong with it, it could have just been returned or something so they had to check it and even if a little something was wrong the problem is completely fixed and checked....you should definatly check it out...all kind of things from CD players to speakers and all that! Good luck!

You might want to look in the hatch back for a cd changer I think if there is a tap deck in the front that could mean a cd changer is in the rear of the car. If so you will find it on facing the back of the car it should be on the left side under a panel "it look's like a black box..."
