Re: how the factory cd changer mounts? It is located in the rear hatch area, drivers side just behind the wheel well. Depending on the year of your car it will also have the changer wiring behind the plastic wheel well cover.

Re: how the factory cd changer mounts? Like Felton said, if you ordered the option, there was a factory "L-bracket" with a stud welded to the chassis. Only the stud protruded through the carpet and you secured the changer using that.
