They don't look bad. But why?

Can I answer that?

After the buffing and waxing didn't seem to say it well enough, I put a custom hood, SS wing, late model wheels, covers and stripes on my 95 because the modifications make me feel like the car is special. I love to walk out to the car and look it over. It has the most beautiful lines this side of a Z06. It is like no other on the road and to me the car is art. That is why people add effects, frills, lights and cosmetics. We love our ride and unique changes that make it stand out to tell the world that this car is someones prized possession and not just another nice looking automobile.

I'm kinda diggin it. I'd only want them to be on the hoodscoop and no where else. I think they'd look better on an SS

Depends on the state. Here in Ohio my brother has a neon license plate bracket that he had on the back of the car. Cop pulled him over and said he couldn't have it there because it makes reading the plate at night hard, but told him he could have it on the front since it isn't the primary plate. He swapped it and no problems since. Basically, here the color is OK, as long as it doesn't flash or pulse. Only real light color requirements are headlights have to be white (a little yellow or blue tint from halogen or HID is fine naturally), signals have to be yellow/orange. Yeah, most ricers around here don't get too far with their bright blue turn signals

Definitely check this out..... I have a blue panasonic head unit in my truck and got pulled over for its "resemblance to police equipment" a few years back. (no ticket though) My response was "if I was allowed to tint my windows how I wanted you wouldn't know about it".

What he said.

I like the glow without the light source visable. I'm sure many folks dislike my scoop, but keep silent, so I'll leave my response at this.

Over the summer, I put two blue 5-led boxes into my SS hood scoop, facing down the scoop. Covered it all with a polished stainless grille from miffinbuster on ebay, and wired it to an independant switch in the cabin. The light sources are completely hidden, and it just gives this deep blue glow inside the scoop. I really like the look of it, and get nothing but compliments from anyone who sees it in person.

It is definitely illegal in this state, and would get me hassled in this area. I only really turn it on to show people, or as part of a show when my blue neons and 8000k low beams and fogs are on as well. Yes, I like blue

Here's your first then. Looks like American Muscle meets Fast & The Furious. Put on a couple of fart cans and call it a day. It'll make your car stick out too.

my question is how to wire it on the ss hood without it looking pretty ugly under the hood, i guess you could see who cares im the only one that sees that but i would like to know seems like it would be hard to get the same effect since the you would have to mount it close to the scoop which would leave quite a bit of wire lurking aroudn the hood area wouldnt it???

If you have to ask, then it's too much.
