Im trying to pick out pieces to buy over the next 2-3 months and have it all installed at once. I don't know much about matching equiptment so Im asking you all for help. The speakers im set on. I just need help picking out a head Unit and Amp to power it all. Here we go,
Head Unit
Pioneer- DEH-P9800BT (5v Preouts)
Kenwood- KDC-MP735U (2.5v Preouts)
I thought it was just as simple as picking out something that looks nice. Now I have friends telling me to look at the voltage of the preouts.??? Im lost there.
Front Speakers
Boston Acoustics- Pro60
Rear Speakers
Boston Acoustics- S65
Subwoofer/Box
Boston Acoustics- G510-44 DVC
MTX Thunderform- CF10
Im assuming that I want DVC@4ohm vs. the SVC ??? Again Im a total novice at this stuff.
AMP
Kicker- ZX700.5
Boston Acoustics- GT-50
Boss- GT980
PPI- 5440
Memphis Belle- 16-MCH1300
All of these amps are 5 channel. I was hoping one of these would be suitable to run it all. (Fronts,Rears, and Sub) And be a clean and simple setup.
Well I think that about covers most of it besides wiring and sound deadener. Im not oppose to other opinions on the Head Unit/AMP
Thanks in Advance

go with the pioneer headunit. i put thagt one in my grildriend's jag and it sounds great with great controls. i work with the kicker 5 channel alot and it is good, i would either go with that or the boston. personally, i would match all the speakers and amp---got with all boston set up.

I would also go with the Pioneer HU.
I also have complete replacement systems that include basically everything you have listed and then some. Here's my replacement system:
4 CDT cast EF-6's for the doors and sails along with the CDT UP-222 silk tweeters.
1 pair of Powerbass 4" black fiberglass cone/silk tweeter coaxials for the rear hatch.
1 custom fiberglass stealth enclosure with a CDT EF-100 10" cast subwoofer.
1 Cadence FXA-5100 5-channel amplifier that has 100watts RMS x 4 @ 4ohms plus 300watts RMS x 1 @ 4ohms for the sub channel, bridgeable to 2ohms.
1 4ga DB Link amplifier kit with all accessories including 2 extra RCA's for the other 2 channels and gold DB Link battery adapter.
50ft. of 12ga DB Link speaker wire in addition to the wire that comes with the kit.
This whole system: $840.00 shipped to your door you just supply the HU...lol!
