You can find a pair of steering wheel control switches at a junkyard or on Ebay for about $30-40.
Not sure if it's even possible to replace the lighting on those. If it is, looks like a pain.

Re: lights in steering wheel controls Its possible to change the bulbs. Mine went out about a year ago and I talked to someone here who had replaced the bulbs. I searched every radioshack and electroic parts place but was unable to find a bulb that small with 12V rating. IMO, I'd rather just keep my controls (as they work fine) than dish out $40 (dealer is $80 a pop) just for a tiny bulb.
