Default hatch speakers question

ive done a search and i'm getting some mixed reviews here. im about to buy something to replace my hatch speakers, as well as an amp to power my aftermarket setup. my question is - is it worth it? i have jl audio xr650 components up front, and - for now - jl audio xr 650 coaxials in the middle (which i plan to delete after my hatch replacement and sub install). i want that surround effect, but after reading a few posts from searching, some are saying its not worth it? or is it better to get components for the mids and place the tweeters more towards the back (closer to where the hatch speakers are)?

and yes, i'm getting 2 separate amps - a/b for my 4 speakers, and a d for the sub.

Definitely not worth it. Keep the sail panel speakers if you want the surround effect.

I think its worth it!
And i replaced all my speakers with aftermarket ones!
You cant hear them if your in the front seats, but for the .0000000001% of the time someone is in the back seats they can hear them.
Also i dont like to have something that should be working but isnt. Just a personal preference.

ok, so the highs that come out of the hatches will be drowned out by the sub that i will eventually place back there? i was under the impression that the sails were mainly used for low-mids, in which case the subwoofer wuld drown them out? and since the hatches are better utilized for the highs, they shuld still be used?

i have my hatch speakers unplugged. your not gonna get much of anything out of those little things back there if you have any subs. just get some good tweeters for your fronts if you already have new components.

Sails are used for whatever type of speaker you put there.
