Get the SWI-JACK instead of the SWI-X - it's designed to connect to the wired remote port on the back of that head unit so you don't have to mount an IR emitter.

Don't forget the wiring harness adapter so you don't have to butcher the factory harness. Also, you'll need an antenna plug adapter since GM uses an odd undersized antenna plug.

Look for a listing in the specs that says a wired remote is available. That means it has a port on the back and the 9883 has that option.

The antenna adapter is a standard GM-to-Motorola adapter. It's usually about 6" long with a GM size antenna socket on one end and a normal Motorola size antenna plug on the other. They're available from any stereo shop, auto parts store, or even Wal-Mart for about $9.

if you order the headunit from crutchfield and enter what kind of car you have, they send the antennae adapter, wiring harness, a master install sheet, and i think a mounting kit for free. when you add the headunit to your cart itll show all that stuff in your cart as well.
