Default question about cutting wires...

hey there, is it bad to just cut wires and wrap the ends with electrical tape?

the reason i am asking is because i have an STS kit, and the STS PCV system includes an electrical "switch" valve. i am wanting to disconnect the electrical valve and run just a one way mechanical valve.

the only thing, is that the wires that were connected to the electrical switch will be left over and unused... so then comes my question! can i just wrap the disconnected wire with electrical tape or will that cause problems? thanks for the help guys!!

edit... it is almost impossible to find the source of the wire, as it goes somewhere under the cowl. i tried finding it for awhile, but i cut my hands up and got frustrated, lol .... which is why i posted this whole thing!

You could use butt connectors to be better or solder them together or something..

Wire screw, then tape the screw on. I tend to wire screw, then shrink wrap it to the wire for looks
