Could someone post the pin outs for the prongs on the bottom of the QTP Electric Cutout switch? Thanks.

I do not have the pinouts, but my understanding is the Qtec uses a reversing of polarity to open/close the cutout.

If the switch has 6 wires, then connect like this.

- - - (123)
- - - (456)

Connect 1 and 6 together
Connect 4 and 3 together

Connect 1 and 4 to the cutout
Connect 2 to +12
Connect 5 to ground (reverse 2 and 5 if the switch works in the opposite direction you want it to work)

Hope this might help.

Ryan.

This really pisses me off. I got my new motor on the cutout back b/c the old one fell out. It worked fine, 10 minutes later, switch dies. It gets power to it but it doesn't light up or motor the cutout. I think any standard DPDT toggle would do it minus the fancy lighting.

it should work.

I have sold a few custom switch panels for Qtecs, using the same switch that NX uses in their switch panelfor their opener, and nobody has had any problems

it is just a dpdt momentary/off/momentary switch.

Ryan, you nailed it man, thanks. Works perfectly. BTW, for those that may have a switch fail, you can get one at Radio Shack, (w/out LEDs), part # 2750709 a DPDT Spring Return Center Off Toggle Switch
