Replacing Speakers Guys, I'm replacing the blown front door speakers in my 02 TA. Crutchfield has three good replacements offered in my price range. Alpine SPR17C which is rated at 2-100 watts RMS power range, Boston Acoustics SX65 rated at 2-50 watts RMS power range, and JL Audio TR650CXi rated at 2-50 watts RMS power range. I believe that they are all rated at 4 ohms, and the stock speakers are 2 ohms. My question is will the 2-50 watt RMS range be able to handle the power range of the Monsoon amp and will the 4 ohm speakers lose much power. Also, do you have to remove the door panel for speaker replacment?

You are perfectly fine using a higher impedance speaker than original ratings. You most likely will not hear a difference in power loss - search for more info on this, as it has been discussed several times.
