Steering wheel control help
Steering wheel control help alright well i think i am gonna try to get my wheel controls to work with the stereo i have now, which is a clarion dxz465mp... i looked for different PAC switches and found two that i think will work for my car... well one i know will and one i wasn't so sure of... but i am trying to debate on going with a PAC SWI-X or the PAC SWI-JACK... im not sure if the jack one will work, although it is made to work for jvc alpine clarion and kenwood... and i know that the x one is made with an infrared signal... but how would i go about wiring either of these into my current setup? i have experience with hooking up head units, and i actually hooked this one up in my car, but i didnt mess with the controls cuz i heard they dont work with aftermarket headunits...

I dont' see anywhere on Clarion's site where it says yours is compatible..
The SWI-X is universal, and hooks up with 3 wires. one to the steering wheel wires, one switched (ignition 12v+, usually red), and ground.
Read the sticky's and/or search if you don't know where the steering wheel wire is
