Random question... x amps, 1 sub

The question is can you hook up x amount of amps to one subwoofer?
I was on youtube and saw 5 amps hooked up to one sub that was a DVC sub, how is this accomplished?

Also has anyone seen these new subs?!?!?!

Like the MTX amps? because that was the example used.

That was a crapload of excursion! I'm sure it would sound like hammered ***, but I'll give 'em alot of credit for coming up with something new..
