Constant "Humm" from speakers

I am trying to figure out why I am getting this annoying "humming" sound out of my speakers. I have MTX components and a Thunder Elite 1004 4-channel amp, but whenever I have it on there is that damn sound and its even worse when the car is running, the pitch of the sound changes with the engine's RPM and everything. It makes the sound using my x-overs and not using them. I was told it could be a bad ground causing it, but I've changed locations of where I put the wire, made the ground wire as short as possible. I don't know if the guage has any effect on it, cause I am using 8gauge right now. So does anyone know of a good location in the hatch area to ground an amp and what else could be possibly causing this sound to come from the speakers?

I got a Pioneer Premier DEH-P790BT Head Unit, and the RCAs are going from the HU, under the steering column, to the left side molding (by the hood release), and following under that to the rear hatch. It is kinda cramped there, I know you don't want too many wires running parallel with each other, but I have the Ft/Rear and Sub RCAs, the remote wire, the Left Front Speaker wires and the power cable running all with eachother.

Check your ground wire, make sure it has a clean surface to ground itsself to.

Alright, tried it and totally fixed the problem, thanks for the help. Never would've thought of that on my own, wierd that they have that sort of issue.

I get the same thing from my Alpine headunit with Alpine amps, how did you run your power wire, that might have something to do with it, if the power wire goes near the speaker wire it causes that. also how did you run it if It wasnt through the door and up the side?
