Hey guys, my buddy gave me a the Factory 12 disc CD changer from his 98 camaro, because he keeps getting a E30 code. So I put in my 00 Trans Am to see if it does the samething for me, and it does. So the changer recognizes that I have cd's in there because I can switch from disc to disc, but right before it's about to play it throws the E30 error code. I even tried using a cd lens cleaner, and nothing. Oh, and yes, I put the CD's label side down.

Any ideas? Has this happen to anybody else? or is this thing dead??

o i was about to say that i have had that error before but i am not sure if it was that or not i remember that i had to flip the cds to the other side have not had a problem since

List of all of the error codes are in the Monsoon FAQ Sticky maybe you can figure something out if you know what it means

Yeah, in that thread it mentions that E30 is a focus problem. I put in a non-burn CD and it still throws the error. I guess it has a internal problem, it cant read a CD??
Well, I was just throwing it out there if anybody else had this situation?
