Driver side speaker blown. Need replacement What size is the driverside. Not hatch, but the one in back seat area. Where can I go and who makes a good one thanks.
i think your talking about the sail panel mid bass woofer. its a 6 1/2 i believe and there are many out there you can get. Kicker cvt65, kicker ssmb6, jl 6wo and a few more. i think trans am are 4 ohms in the sail panel.
They are dual 4ohm in the sails and only one company makes a direct replacement. Elemental Designs. They are also on back order and require a spacer and a small amount of drilling. The installation process is in the FAQ's I believe.
You can also use a single voice coil 4ohm midbass but you will lose some low end volume. If you use a midbass replacement with 4ohms and sensitivity of above 90db you can make up some of the power loss. Installation is simply use one pair of your sail panel wires instead of both pairs.
