help, Sub? I have 2 choices 2 JL audio 10w3v2's or 2 JL audio 10w0's.
The amp I can use is a jl250/1 but I might be able to get my hands on a jl500/1 in the future......
Would 2 10w3v2 be ok with the 250/1? I mean will it sound good? I would have to guess that 2 10w0's would sound better with the 250/1 but I would hate to have to get new subs once the 500/1 came, since that might be within the next 6 months.... I dont know...

Re: help, Sub? You wouldn't be using the 10w3v2s to their full potential if you powered them w/ a single 250/1. A 500/1 might be just right for 2 w3v2s.
As for how it would sound, they probably won't hit too hard, since they're going to be underpowered w/ a 250/1. Remember, JL's wattage rating on their subs (300 for the w3v2) is constant wattage - not a max like most subs.
Heres another possibility for you, get two 250/1s. Have them each power their own sub. Good luck to you. I have JL's myself, and I'm very happy with them.

Re: help, Sub? I would get the 10 WO's. I had a pair a while back. they sounded really good for 10's. It did not take much power to make them bump. It all depends on the enclosure they are in. Mine were in a sealed box .85 cubes per chamber. I found a used powerwedge with 3 10's that fits perfectly on top of the T-top holeders. Under the box looks like the amazon. Wires to the amp and x-over are every where. I have not taken the time to make it pretty yet.
Re: help, Sub? JL2501 was designed to power a single W3 or two W0s. JL5001 was designed to power two W3s. Id save up and get the 5001 with the two W3s its always better to get more than you expect then to get less and be unsatisfied.
