Default TCS switch

Alright guys I'm not sure if I'm posting this up in the right section but here goes. I've been looking to get a switch panel made by beer99C5 here on the forums, and would like to maintain my TCS switch. being the the factory TCS switch on pontiacs mounts to the factory panel in a specific manner, i think it would be really hard to reuse the stock switch. so basically what im asking is if its possibly to buy an aftermarket toggle or momentary switch to allow the use of TCS, while using the aftermarket switch? any info is appreciated. Thanks!

If you're not concerned about the little indicator light then you can use any momentary switch. Just get a normally open momentary switch and connect the brown/white wire to one side and the other side to ground (the black/white wire in the factory switch harness goes to ground).

awesome that sounds good. if i were to use a typical toggle switch with an integrated LED how would that work out? will it be such that I can have TCS off all the time unless i flip the switch?

No, the system is designed to work with just a momentary signal. The TCS toggles on and off each time it receives a signal. Using something other than a momentary switch will not change that function and would probably cause the system to throw a code.

There are kits available that reverse the function so that the TCS system is off when you start the car and you have to toggle it on with the switch.

Not sure why you would want to keep the TCS anyway. I find it more of a pain than anything in my C.E.T.A. Im taking mine out as soon as i find the time and effort to do it
