First, I've never heard of Diesel Audio until this thread. I won't go by that to judge, though, because I know there are some smaller companies out there that are good. The JL will be better IMO for several reasons. First, it's a class D instead of a 2-channel like the DA, so it'll be better for running subs anyway. Second, with DVC 2-ohm subs like those, you must've had them wired to run 4 ohms channel on that 2 channel, which can't be getting much power from that amp(don't know how much exactly because the power rating on it doesn't say rms or anything). With the JL, you can hook your void coils in series and subs in parallel, giving you an overall 2 ohm load for the amp. You'll get 250W rms per sub from the JL. There's my opinion on it. BUT, hook it up and see! Fact is better than anybody's opinion.
Just make sure that you check the resistance of your wiring of the subs with an ohm meter. With DVC 2 ohm subs, you can get them down to a .5 ohm load! I don't think the JL will handle that.
