New speaker rattling
New speaker rattling I just installed some CDT speakers and they were a very tight fit into the speaker bracket. I stripped out one of the holes when I was putting it in, but I used a different screw(longer one) and it seemed ok, but now there is a rattle coming from that speaker. I don't know if it would be from that, or if something else is wrong.
I did drop one of the clips that is used to mount the stock tweeter, but I'm pretty sure that clip is on the tweeter magnet(but I did have 3 clips to mount the tweeter). Would the tweeter move that much to make a rattle with the clip on it? I wouldn't think so.
Any suggestions? I am going to try to get a replacement for the speaker mount, but I'm not even sure thats the problem

Play the speaker in free air (you holding it) and see if it rattles then. If not, it's not the speaker itself. I have some rattles in my doors unfortunately still. I think I may need to add more raammat.
I tested the speaker before I had it mounted, and it wasn't rattling at all, so I think the actual speaker is fine(doesn't really sound like speaker, more like a chunk of something rattling)
Ok, I tested a little bit more, there is definitely something wrong, both speakers are doing this crap... I have the stock HU, stock amp, and CDT components...
Could I have put these in wrong, wired wrong(positive on the negative or something?) or have the settings way off on the HU?

None of that will make them rattle unless you crank the bass and volume and blow them, but they'd sound like complete crap if you do that. It's probably the plastic mounts vibrating or something. Sometimes the window will vibrate, also. One of mine does that.
