crossover question

for a 98 TA
is the factory crossover located in the headunit or inline?

i'll be installing a D3 and need to know if i should install the xover that came with my speakers(kappa 60.7cs)

also these are 2ohm components that have a picture implying they're 4 ohm stable?? so i guess if they're wired as 4 ohm it'll be okay and not hurt the new power source?
