yeah, i already saw that one, along with the Kenwood Excelon KDC-X791 and a select few others.

i'm just talking about decks in general, the majority of them.....they either have all the features i would want but are ugly as ****, or look good but don't have the features i would want.

seem pretty simple to me....

not sure what you do not like maybe the display?
well pioneer's choice to go back to a LED display, is just sad on the 7000 imo

I don't look at the display on my radio while I drive. The 7000 is infinitely more simple (in a good way) than those. My previous player, Eclipse 54410, was also much simpler and better looking than those Blaupunkts.

This is why I got the JL audio cleansweep, so I could keep my stock radio but still have high volt outputs...and it has an aux input. I also have the Ipod adaptor that goes into the changer plug so it can be controlled through the stereo controls. each unit has an additional AUX input.

so overall I have an Ipod input, 2 AUX inputs, high volt outputs, and stock appearance. BUT be prepared to spend as much as a mid-high end deck.

see you want it all for little money, doesnt work that way. I do agree that decks these days are ugly, hence my decision above. I had the Alpine CDA-7995 in my last car and it was perfect, but still didnt match the interior of the camaro.

If I were to get an aftermarket stereo for the camaro id find a used Sony ES C-90. but it doesnt have a USB input.

I went from a Kenwood Excelon with USB and all those goodies to my Alpine...really very similar features on both decks...but the Alpine SOUNDS way better, and looks nicer in the dash. I personally prefer a simpler display too...I'm very happy with the deck showing me the time and date on the screen as I go...it's nice on my way to work to know if I'm on time or not.

(non-sponsor link removed)
That's what I'm getting, and it's a clusterfuck cheaper than Crutchfield's price. It works since I'm getting blue LED's, but it's still really clean without (Plus its graphical!).

why bother posting some the ugliest headunits you could find?
I mean that looks like something you would have found at target or walmart 15 years ago or more with a tape deck of course added on

Default Sony USB model

I wanted iPod, front Aux and USB so I got this cheap Sony model with USB:

The problem is that if you have a large thumb drive or even worse, a large iPod, you have to SLOWLY scroll through each album. Not good.

I tend to agree with the whole "crappy lookin CD deck" thing. My only problem is that the theme of my Z28 is black and red.. so naturally I would like to have a deck that lights up red. Unfortunately whenever I visit an electronics store such as Best Buy, Circuit City etc.. the only decks offered light up blue. Not only that but most if not all of them look horrible. I don't need all of those fancy useless gadgets with 30 different buttons on mine. Just a simple CD player with an AM/FM radio tuner that lights up red.. Is that so much to ask for?
