Sound deadener question in TA

Sound deadener question in TA So this weekend I am going to do door motors and put the CDT comp's in. Question is how much deadener to use and where? Also I may do the sail panels if time allows so how much and where there? I bought and paid for some of the deadener off E-Bay but they couldn't understand directions/questions and cancelled my order on me so they got a nice neg which I gave back. Ordered second skin now.
I used second skin in my old car. It worked well except that it didn't stay on my trunk lid. When it was hot in the summer, I'd open my trunk to find it laying on top of my amps. That was the only place I had trouble with it, though. In the doors and everywhere else it was fine. Probably just being right on the back side of a black trunk lid.
You should probably only need to do the area directly around where the speakers go in the doors, maybe 6 or 8 inches around the speaker.

Some people seal the doors up with it. You mean a layer on the outer door skin and also on the inner panel where the speaker mounts? What about sails? Where should that be placed?
I need to put some on the Civic's package tray and trunk lid but going to use Peel N Seal. I figure it is just for rattles so what the hell!

the stuff works . my homie did up his whole ride for the stereo . you could hear it from the outside but on the inside man was it loud . 4 10" kicker comp vrs with boston accoustic highs .
