Replacing bulb in door handles
That's only with paint. Mixing light is different. Yellow + Blue light = White. Back down the blue and you'll see yellow. Add the blue and it goes white.
I used a pair of Varad Hyper LEDs. I cut off the stock bulbs (there're a bunch of threads on how to do this) and soldered the LEDs in place. I took a small drill bit and drilled the stock hole the light shines out and drilled it just large enough so that the led could be squeezed into. Used hot glue to keep it in place. and wah-lah! The LEDs come on whenever I open the doors, or when I turn on the headlights.
LED's Pep Boys , LED's made by Pilot . They come in a 3 pack for like $6.00 . All colors , blue , red , green , purple etc.
Take off the door panel , cut the wires on the originals , poke out the old bulb and socket . The LED's come allready in a little black holder with about 4" of wire , put the wire through the original hole from the outside of the door panel . Push the bulb into the hole until the socket kind of "clicks" in place . The entire head of the bulb will shine on the outside and light up all your switches . Wire the two wires to the existing original wires you cut . You even have one left for a spare .
I have a Alpine stereo that lights up blue . I used blue LED's in the door and also put a couple blue LED's behind my speaker grills that draw power from my amps in the rear .

They are in! Somewhat brighter but then again I didn't want it lit up like a spaceship. I used the piece of rubber tubing press fit over the bulbs and they come out easy. I did pull one of the LED's apart by not pushing the tubing all the way over when trying to pull it out. They work correctly... see pics of stock bulb with LED bulb. Very nice change for the dollars and I am happy.
