Do not use a capacitor and do not replace your battery unless it's bad. You can add a battery if you need longer runtime with the car off, but otherwise, the only thing you should upgrade is your alternator and your wiring. You can't get more power out of the system than you put in. If your alternator can't do the job, then your battery will drain.
