So I was thinking... I just got back from San Diego, and down there I rented a nice little Pontiac G6 to get me around. The stereo and A/C control panel were really nice and "modern" looking. The stereo and AC boards in my firebird feel dated and old to me....I mean they didn't change anything since they began the slant-nose version of the GenIV firebird.
How difficult would it be to transpose the G6's radio system and/or A/C system into the firebird? I feel doing this would really help revamp the interior of the car a little. Lemme know what y'all think.

If you don't need GPS navigation, there are nice double DIN touch screen units from Pioneer and Kenwood. You can upgrade from the factory 1.5 DIN to double DIN with out major dash modifications but you do need a modified trim bezel. Do a search on "double DIN" and you'll find a number of recent threads on how to do it (I have one myself).
