trunk release

ive done an auto to manual swap.

i have read the swap thay says the orange with black striped wire and the black with white stripped wire need to be tied together for the trunk release to work.

well mine is a 01 v6 car and i have 3 black with white stripe wires tried tapping into them none of which made the trunk work??

ne one got any suggestions (whitebird i know you are the man when it comes to wireing)
