Audio Help!
Audio Help! Well I got rid of my TA a few months back and got a 08 GMC Crew Cab Sierra. 
I'm working on giving it some bass but can't really get any info from the truck forums. So I figured I would try here since you guys have always had the answers I've needed. I hope thats ok...I need some help picking out an amp. I think I'm going with 2 10" Rockford Fosgate P3's. There going in a subthump dual 10 box with an amp rack. Suggestions for different subs are welcomed as well. The box has .6 cu. ft. per chamber. What would be a good amp to power the P3's? Also, Does anyone know what I would need to hook an amp and subs up to a stock headunit? The truck has onstar and xm radio if that makes a different. Thanks for any help even though this isn't in an ls1.

You will need a high level to rca converter, or a factory converter like JL cleansweep or MTX RE-Q or something like that. You need an amp wiring kit. I'd say 4 gauge for your setup. (this comes with power cable, ground cable, rca, fuse holder, fuse, remote wire) You need to specify the wattage and impedence of these speakers. If they are dual voice coil wire them (the voice coils) in series then the speakers together in parrallel. This will give you a total impedence equal to that of one of the voice coils. Find an amp that equals the wattage of both speakers added (rms values only, dont use max or peak) @ the impedence of one of your voice coils (only if you wire it like I recommended) I like going with same brand stuff for looks so I would look into a Rockford am that matches these criteria
Oh and as for the line converters. You need to tap the rear speakers +/- wires then the converter will turn them into a usuable RCA format that you run from the converter, or cleansweep etc. to the amp. I think the converter might need power and ground too I forget
