voltage problem.... plz help
voltage problem.... plz help I noticed that my volt gauge wouldnt go above the 1/4 mark. i was thinging a resistor? I have a system.

what could be the problem im thinking a bad alt, but not sure.

If it's a fairly large system then yes. How many watts are you pushing? I would check the voltage at the altenator before you replace. My car was doing the same thing and I just threw a new altenator in. $150 down the drain. The old altenator was still good
well the car is completely dead. it doesnt have enough juice to crank over. I dont have a big system at all just 2 6.5 subs in the sails and some components in the doors witrh a hu. I was just going to run it off the monsoon amp. I didnt think it would have that great of an effect on the cars voltage.
