The IP Dimmer Switch is located next to the headlight switch. You can gain acces to it by removing the a/c vent cover on the dash. Next unscrew the 2 fasteners holding the assemby in place, and the headlight switch, and dimmer thumbwheel can be pulled out.

On back of the dimmer thumbwheel is a connector with several wires. you can unsnapp the connector to gain access to each wire. Next use a 12 volt test light to individually check each wire to see which one controls the dimmer circuit. This is how I found which wire to tap into. I then used a trailer butt connector to juice up my guage lamp. I grounded the lamp to a convenient sheet metal screw underneath the dash.

If this does'nt help run a search. I forget which color wire I tapped into, but the best advise I got when wiring my guage lights was using the 12 volt test lamp. I believe I got mine at Pep Boys for $6.00

Good Luck
